Doing anything HURTS fibromyalgia

Doing literally anything like: cleaning, laundry, going to the doctor, going to the dentist, cleaning the kitchen, showering, and just everyday things HURTS fibromyalgia.

Today I went to the dentist, had therapy, took a bath, folded laundry, and now my pain HURTS.

Fibromyalgia makes doing literally ANYTHING a million times harder. It’s so frustrating.

I am sure anyone with a chronic illness can agree that doing anything hurts like hell.

But like my Mom always says: “it hurts like hell but it won’t kill you.”

Living with any chronic illness is frustrating.

Slowing I am learning to accept my chronic illnesses: fibromyalgia and rheumatoid disease.

Some days I accept it better than others.

Today I am having a hard day. I feel very sad because I am hurting so bad.

Living with any mental illness or chronic illness is challenging.

You have to learn a “new normal” because once you get diagnosed with a mental illness or a chronic illness, “normal” is never the same again.

I am still learning my “new normal” with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid disease.

I hope you all join me on my journey❤️

Thank you for reading❤️

I love you all❤️

Four Sayings You Should NEVER Say To Someone With Fibromyalgia

Four Sayings You Should Never Say To Someone With Fibromyalgia

1. “You are too young to be disabled.”

Actually, no I am not. I may be 21 years old but I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid disease. Obviously I am not “too young” to have major chronic illnesses that has changed my life forever. So no, I’m not “too young” to be in unbearable pain.

2. “Just wait till your my age. Then you will truly feel pain!”

I can’t stand for more than 2 minutes. I use a wheelchair. I am applying for disability. I am in unbearable chronic pain, every minute, of every day. So actually your “getting older” pain is NOTHING compared to someone who has been diagnosed with a chronic illness.

3. “You are so young! You can do things again.”

Yes, I am young. But no, I can never do theatre, golf, or singing standing up again. I can’t stand for more than 2 minutes at a time. Because if I stand for more than 2 minutes, my back will give out and I will start to cry because I am in severe pain.

4. “Have you tried exercise?”

Yes and it makes everything worse. I used to do physical therapy but I would hurt so bad afterwards I would come home and cry. I would be in pain for days after. So yes I have, but I can’t.

Remember:

If someone you love has a chronic illness, THERE IS NO CURE.

Just be there for them and love them.

We don’t need your advice, just love and be there for us!
